What We Do

Classroom Supplies
Classroom (Reimbursement) Grants give each classroom $100. These funds can be used for classroom snacks, giveaways/prizes, classroom materials, tools, fidgets, decor, TeachersPayTeachers, and more. 

Field Trips & Special Learning Projects
Grade Level Enrichment Grants grade level $300 ($500 for 5th grade) for field trips, guest speakers, supplies for special projects, and more.

New  Curriculum Supplies
This provides new items for this school. In 2022 we purchased a stage for music and assemblies. In 2023 we purchased pickleball nets and thousands of dollars of new reading curriculum books.

Testing Snacks
CES PTO provides testing snacks for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade in the spring. These snacks help get kids through standardized testing and are provided throughout the process to each classroom. 

Classroom Celebrations
CES PTO sponsors and coordinates the snacks for classroom parties three times a year, including Harvest Party (October), Winter Party (December), and Friendship Party (February). 

Field Day
CES PTO supports the annual field day by subsidising activities and with volunteers. 

5th Grade Graduation
CES PTO helps sponsor the 5th Grade Graduation, typically by subsidising the tshirts. 

Little Free Libraries
Our little free libraries are open even when the school is closed. This take a book, leave a book program provides books to kids in our underserved neighborhoods.

Scholastic Book Fair
PTO manages the annual book fair. The funds generated from the book fair are donates as new books back to the school.

Read-a-Thon
CES PTO sponsors and coordinates the Centennial Read-a-Thon that takes place in the spring. In 2023 our students read over 148,000 minutes in one week, winning the opportunity to tape the principal to the wall.

PTO Meeting Childcare
To help families attend PTO meetings, we provide childcare and a light meal each month. 

Free Family Swim Day
PTO typically offers a free family swim day at Splash!

Free Family Activities
CES PTO regularly provides free activities for the whole family, where the popcorn is always free. This includes Movie Nights, Dances, and more. Check out the complete list. 

Bingo Night
Typically in the fall, BINGO Night is a great family event. 

Volunteering
We help organize volunteers for school events such as open house, reading night, movie nights, and more. 

Staff Appreciation
Each month the PTO provides a staff appreciation event. This includes meals, coffee, stocking the fridge, and retirement gifts. 

School Beautification Projects
This includes everything from planting daffodils to building courtyard benches.

Spirit Wear
Each fall, CES PTO coordinates a Spirit Wear Sale, offering a basic selection of kid and adult t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other fun items.
